About

This is the East Asian node of the Regional Office of Astronomy for Development. We are an organization that promotes astronomy education and outreach. Our organization was founded at the 2012 International Astronomical Union General Assembly in Beijing, China. The core member institutions of our organization are Peking University, Beijing Planetarium and Yunnan Observatory, and associated institutions are the National Astronomical Observatories, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the East Asia Core Observatories Association and Pyongyang Observatory. This node currently represents China, Mongolia and the DPRK, as well as other areas as the need arises. Links to the current member institutes are given below.
